Summer Internship: MediRevv

I feel very fortunate to be an intern with MediRevv. With headquarters in Coralville, IA, MediRevv is a revenue cycle management company that specializes in helping health systems, hospitals, academic medical centers, and physician groups improve cash flow and grow their revenue. MediRevv has found success in different regions with clients from California to New York, and they continue to grow at a rapid pace. A new building is being constructed this summer and the move-in date is set for September.  

Chris Klitgaard, President and CEO at MediRevv, is an alumnus of the MHA/MBA program at the University of Iowa. He has done a phenomenal job of helping me feel welcome as a new MediRevver (a title shared by all MediRevv employees). Through nearly four weeks, I have learned so much in regard to the AR Management industry. I have also enjoyed learning from the leadership style of Chris and his team—they are an amazing group. They work very hard to create a fun work culture for all the employees. I experienced this culture first-hand last week when I helped with the “2^nd Annual Taste of MediRevv”. Five different teams competed to make the best dish as part of an employee appreciation meal. It was a very fun event, and was a great way for me to meet more of the staff.

My summer experience has been awesome. I’m enjoying my time at MediRevv, and finding all sorts of things to do in Iowa City. I play softball on Monday nights, and I try to get to the driving range a few times throughout the week. The ISAHL executive team is also working hard to plan our annual golf outing for the fall. We are very excited to host the event at Brown Deer Golf Course on September 12^th—one day before the Hawkeyes take on the Cyclones at Kinnick Stadium!
