Job Posting: Administrator for Northeast Iowa Family Practice Center - Waterloo, Iowa

Family Practice Clinic and Family Medicine Residency Program seeking an individual to be responsible for administration of the practice, provide strategic planning and improvement of operations, maintain high quality and cost effective services and assist in leading/developing a learning organization. Founded in 1975 as a residency program, residency is well-established, community-based, and university affiliated. Waterloo/Cedar Falls is a community of approximately 100,000 with a wide range of family and cultural events. Qualifications
* Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration, Hospital Administration, Business Administration or closely related field (Bachelor’s with experience considered) plus five years of experience in a medical group, medical school, or hospital and two years supervisory experience.
* Professional certification a plus.
* Training and experience in general accounting, financial management and general health care management.
* Training and experience in human resource administration.
* Training and experience with computer networks and facility with variety of computer software.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
* Familiarity with health care reimbursement terminology and previous experience in negotiating and evaluating third-party payer contracts.
* Previous experience in academic medical center administration and governance, preferably in the specialty of Family Practice.
